The rectangular oak top with a reeded edge above a frieze with marquetry tablet to each side secured by domed screws, supported by four tapered square section legs.

Serrurier-Bovy was a Belgian architect and furniture designer, one of the leading designers credited with creating the Art Nouveau style. several of his pieces are on display in the Musee d'Orsay, Paris.
