A rare George III mahogany fall-front secretaire in the manner of Thomas Chippendale (1718 - 1779)

In two parts, the upper section with a fall front, below a frieze of blind fretwork and a dentil cornice. Secured by a sprung Chubbs lock enclosing a fitted interior of drawers with axe-head handles and pigeonholes behind the leather-lined writing surface, with an integral ratcheted slope. The lower section with two doors enclosing a fitted interior of drawers. All on cabriole spade feet.
