The shade comprising overlapping curved fins of lacquered metal hiding the bulb, all supported on a circular black metal base.
Screw-lock holes to the underside allow it also to be a flush mounted ceiling light.
Designed in Germany in 1964 and, along with other iterations of the same design, retailed on a limited scale by the Canadian design company Airborne.
